Gradient maps in Photoshop. In this Photoshop tutorial, you will be introduced to Gradient Maps (one of many brilliant Photoshop tools). You will learn how you can use gradient maps to enhance the colors of an image. In this tutorial, you will make a moderately sunny day, even sunnier, all through the use of gradient maps.

1. Open any image in Photoshop. This is the image we will be using for this tutorial:

2. First duplicate the current layer. We will be working on the duplicate layer.

3. Change its Blend Mode from Normal to Screen.

4. Create a new Adjustment layer and choose Gradient Map. Then make the following changes:

5. Change its Blend Mode from Normal to Overlay.

6. Create a new Adjustment layer and choose Gradient Map. Then make the following changes:

7. Change its Blend Mode from Normal to Soft light.

8. Create a new Adjustment layer and choose Curves. Then make the following changes:

9. Create a new Adjustment layer and choose Exposure. Then make the following changes:

That’s it, babe.
